02 Aug What is the Best Bedframe for my Mattress? – Part 2
There are generally four types of material you’ll find that bed frames are made of: wood, metal, leather, or upholstery. The material often comes down to a personal sense of style and what matches best with the bedroom décor. Most people, who aren’t overly concerned with their rails, will simply go with the metal frame. It isn’t as pretty to look at but it serves its purpose well. It will work well with almost any type of matress – provided there is a proper foundation – and it easy to assemble at home.
Those who prefer a designer look in their beds and mattresses may opt for upholstered bed frames that are meant to tie in the bedding and other fabrics in the room. Some people even go as far as to coordinate the upholstery with their mattress. Leather is a design element that isn’t unique but is one of the least widely utilized for bedding. Wood, on the other hand, is quite common and an absolute necessity for some people. Materials always come down to either a matter of preference or of practicality.
